My Personal Blog Launched - www.phils-blurb.co.uk

I thought it was about time to launch my personal blog, so www.phils-blurb.co.uk will give you a little insight into me away from the office.

A blog is a great way for people to put pen to paper (or fingers to keyboard) and generally write about anything that takes their fancy.  I don't' keep a diary and never have, but i guess my blog is the next best thing.  It's only been live for a few days now, but I have so far felt the urge to blog about rain the size of golf balls, the great Facebook vs Google battle and more recently and perhaps most strangely, How to sun-dry tomatoes after a little experiment of mine.

I'd recommend anyone to create a blog, its simple and free to do with little IT skills needed.  Using your favourite search engine you can find a number of free blog templates and installs that will have you under way in less than an hour.  I am using Word Press, as I liked the selection of standard templates and the seemingly endless number of free plug-ins to help customise the site.  Blogspot and Blogger and just as popular and worth a look as you might find these more suitable for your needs.  You can see what I am up to here - www.phils-blurb.co.uk
